About

I have been in love with all things computing since my introduction to my first mainframe in 1978 when the information technology environment was  so much simpler. Since then I have been exposed to dynamic changes in all aspects of computing from supercomputers, mainframes, the mini, workstations micros, and picos. I have experienced the emergence of database, networks and the internet with its revolutionary communications rethinking including email, instant messaging, and the world wide web.  I have developed code in the world of spaghetti – does anyone remember the goto verb? I have been through structured and object orientation with both imperative and declarative languages, visual programming, event driven coding, and serverless cloud solutions. I have studied  all of the social and technical implications that have accompanied the change. And I am still in love.
